You spoke a great note. You cannot find it. Do not panic. This is almost always sync delay, a filename conflict, or a folder move.

Check: Search today’s date in the Brain Dump folder. Open Files and check Recents. Conflicted copies often land there.
If still missing: In Obsidian, full text search a unique word from the note.
Conflict fix: If you see two copies, keep the newest and merge content. Delete the duplicate.

Where to tap, exactly
- Open the Files app. Tap iCloud Drive. Tap the Brain Dump folder. Use the search box at the top. Type today in the format your files use, for example 2025-10-13.
- Tap Recents in the bottom bar. Scroll a bit. Conflicted copies often show up here with a date near when you recorded.
- In Obsidian, tap Search and type a unique phrase from your note. Try two uncommon words.
Resolve a conflict
- Open both copies. Keep the newest content.
- Paste any missing lines into the copy you want to keep.
- Delete the duplicate once you verify the merge.
Prevent this next time
- Let sync finish before you rename or move folders.
- Avoid editing the same file on two devices at once.
- Keep titles simple and unique for the day.
